The sampler is being developed with ages 7–10 in mind. That’s a starting point, not a tested age rating. Some children may enjoy a little help with the busier scenes.

What’s in the sample?
Eight pages with three illustrated places: Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles City Hall and Santa Monica Pier. There’s a City Hall seek-and-find with six kinds of objects to spot and a checked answer guide, plus an explorer passport and a draw-your-neighborhood activity.
Can I buy the full book?
The free eight-page sampler is the public download on this site. Purchase and release details for the full digital collection are not available here yet. There is no checkout on this site.
What should we color with?
Pencils and crayons are the intended starting materials. Marker performance hasn’t been tested. The result of a home print will depend on your printer and paper; try one page first.
How do I open or print the PDF?
Visit the Los Angeles sample page to read it in your browser, or choose Download free PDF. The file is about 7.4 MB and the pages are 8.5 × 11 inches. For home printing, select US Letter and try “Fit to printable area.” You can print just the pages you want to try.
Are all three places in the city of Los Angeles?
Griffith Observatory and City Hall are in Los Angeles. Santa Monica is a separate city in Los Angeles County; its pier is included as a neighboring-city day trip.
Are the illustrations photographs or exact maps?
They’re imaginative, AI-generated coloring illustrations created for this project and reviewed for the sample. The scenes simplify real places and add invented people and details. They are not photographs, exact architectural records or navigation maps.
Is this an official city or venue publication?
No. Color My City is an independent project, with no city, venue, team or event endorsement.
Do children need to share any information?
No signup is required. This site has no accounts, forms, advertising trackers or analytics. Web hosting providers may process ordinary connection logs to deliver a website.
Can we draw a place from our own neighborhood?
Yes. The sampler includes a draw-your-neighborhood activity. Your child can choose a familiar park, a favorite corner, or an imaginary place they would like to explore.
